Envoys SVDS System
Envoys Speed Violation Detection System (SVDS) System is at the forefront of traffic management technology. It is designed to address the critical issue of over-speeding on urban roads, especially at night. The system is a composite of state-of-the-art detection sensors, video and ANPR cameras, illuminators, control electronics, a comprehensive communication network, and a central server.
How Does the SVDS System Work?
The SVDS system utilizes fixed speed cameras in both forward and rear-facing modes to capture images of passing vehicles when triggered by a speed detection radar. The average speed camera’s video system, fortified with Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology, ensures that if a vehicle’s average speed exceeds a preset threshold, the data is securely stored on a central computer for processing.
